Every month at Good Shepherd we feature a Verse of the Month. We recite this verse each Sunday at the beginning of the sermon. The reason we do this is to internalize the Scriptures. The Word of God is something more than words on the page. It is a “living Word.” God does not want us to simply read these words. It is his desire that we read, learn, meditate, and live out these words. He wants for the Word to be part of our very being.
As we repeat a verse every week for a month, it is our fervent hope that you will begin to memorize these words and that they become part of your life. We also encourage you to participate in our Good Shepherd Daily Bible Reading Plan.
Below you will find our January 2021 Verse of the Month. Plus we included a look back at all the different Verses of the Month from 2020. How many of these verses can you recite?
