HCM Meal Packing Event: The Haitian Children’s Ministry is planning a meal packing event on Saturday, June 3 at McDivitt Elementary School in Old Bridge. Our goal for this event will be to pack more than 20,000 meals for children in Haiti. We will need 200+ volunteers for this event, so make sure to mark your calendars now. During this event we will recreate a Seder Dinner in the fashion that Jesus would have observed this meal with his disciples on the night he was betrayed. It is our hope that this will be an eye-opening educational experience that will give you new insight into the Church’s celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Seating will be limited and tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis. Tickets are $12 individual, $20 couple, and $25 family. ATTENTION MARRIED COUPLES: Time is running out to sign up for your spring Lutheran Marriage Encounter Weekend! Please consider taking a weekend to learn how to make your marriage a more intimate, loving, Christian union. Weekends run from Friday night at 8 PM to Sunday around 3 PM and are for couples of all ages. There is a $100 per couple registration fee, plus toward the end of the weekend, you will be given an opportunity to make a confidential contribution of whatever amount you wish toward continuation of the program. Two nights lodging and 5 meals for each of you are included. The spring dates are:

New Member Orientation: Join us for a new member orientation on Saturday, February 4; from 8 am-11:30 am. During the new member orientation, we will look at what we believe, what we value, and what it means to be a member of Good Shepherd. Baptism Orientation: Good Shepherd Church of Old Bridge is hosting a baptism orientation on Saturday, February 4 at 11:30 am. This orientation is for any parents who are interested in having their child baptized at Good Shepherd. The orientation will last approximately one hour. It will be led by Pastor Phil. We will look at what we as Lutherans believe and teach about baptism. We will also go through the commitments which parents make before the Lord on the day their child’s baptism. If parents are not members of Good Shepherd they should make arrangements to attend the New Member Orientation prior to the Baptism Orientation.
