Urgent Haiti Mission Trip: As you know, the recent hurricane that went through Haiti left numerous people homeless. We are putting a construction crew together to go to Haiti February 4-11. (For various reasons, this trip will be men only.) The purpose will be to help build houses in southwestern Haiti, and we will be working with a group in Haiti known as Mission of Hope. If you can swing a hammer or use tin snips, you can help, you can make a difference. The Mission Trip cost will be $1175 plus Airfare for funding a roof + airfare. Airfare will depend on the rates when we buy the tickets, and are currently running about $500-$600. The minimum size of a team is 5 people. We will be staying in “primitive lodging”, so expect to “rough it” a bit. If you would like more information, contact Tony Hansen at email@example.com.
Healing Service: Join us Sunday, January 22 at 6 pm for a service of healing. Whatever your struggle may be, know that God is the healer. We will join together believing God for miracles. God is greater. If you are in need of healing, come! If you know of someone in need of healing, invite them!
New Member Orientation: Join us for a new member orientation on Saturday, February 4; from 8 am-11:30 am. During the new member orientation, we will look at what we believe, what we value, and what it means to be a member of Good Shepherd. This is for everyone who desires to learn more about the church, is interested in becoming a member, or desires to review the basics of our faith. Sign up at gs4nj.org/newmember!
Baptism Orientation: Good Shepherd Church of Old Bridge is hosting a baptism orientation on Saturday, February 4 at 11:30 am. This orientation is for any parents who are interested in having their child baptized at Good Shepherd. The orientation will last approximately one hour. It will be led by Pastor Phil. We will look at what we as Lutherans believe and teach about baptism. We will also go through the commitments which parents make before the Lord on the day their child’s baptism. If parents are not members of Good Shepherd they should make arrangements to attend the New Member Orientation prior to the Baptism Orientation. To sign up for either the New Member Orientation or the Baptism orientation (or both) visit gs4nj.org/newmember
Fight Night: Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 18 at 6 pm for the Fight Night Broadcast with Dr.’s Les and Leslie Parrott at Good Shepherd. And most important you will never look at fighting in the same way. Tickets for this event will go on sale in January.

Also monetary donations are needed for Confirmation Students that are not able to pay for Confirmation this year. Confirmation cost $200.00 a year. If you wish to donate, please use one of the envelopes in the pew and clearly mark it “Confirmation Student Help”, or write it on your check in the memo line. You may also put donation in the locked box outside the church office clearly marked what it is for. I hope that you can help us and answer our prayers.
