July Verse of the Month
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.1 Corinthians 10:13, ESV
Online Worship for July 12, 2020
Worship begins this morning at 10am. We will stream live on Facebook and Youtube. We continue our message series on the Lord’s Prayer. This week we look at the Fourth Petition which is “Give us this day our daily bread.”
If you are worshipping online, make sure to share a comment on our live feed on Facebook or YouTube to let us know you are with us! If you miss one of our live stream worship services, they are archived at gs4nj.org/virtual-worship.
We offer the opportunity to participate together with us in the Lord’s Supper during our online worship. We invite you to join us if you share our beliefs and have been instructed in those beliefs. If you plan to participate, make sure to have bread and wine prepared before worship begins.
Reservations Available for July Worship Services
Because of current restrictions caused by the pandemic, we are requiring everyone to make a reservation before attending in-person worship. Reservations are now available for the remaining Sundays in July. Reservations are first come, first served as we are limited to 75 people in worship. If you are not one of the first 75 people to make a reservation, you will be able to put your name on a waiting list.
Everyone who attends will be required to:
- Wear a mask at all times – please bring your own. Masks will not be provided.
- Maintain social distancing – pews will be marked. Ushers will direct you to your assigned seats.
- Use hand sanitizer as needed.
Good Shepherd Children’s Center
Good Shepherd Children’s Center re-opened this week for summer camp. There were many new procedures in place for the children and the parents. If you have children who know of a family that might be interested in sending their children to Good Shepherd, please contact us at 732-679-8887.
Men’s & Women’s Bible Studies
Men’s Bible Study will begin an 8-week series titled “Kingdom Stewardship” on Sunday, July 12 at 8:30 am in the Fellowship Hall (be sure to wear your mask). This will run from July 12 to September 7. No reservation is required for Bible Study, but if you plan to worship, make sure to make your reservation.
Women’s Bible Study will resume in the Fall.
We are excited to share that we have overhauled our online giving to make it easier and more convenient to give. Simply visit gs4nj.org/give to donate. You can donate with a credit card or have the funds debited from your checking account. You can also set up automated giving set up on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or twice-monthly basis.
Another option to give is text to give. Text any dollar amount to 84321. We will reply with a link to a quick, self-guided setup process to tie your mobile phone to our church, your donor account, and a payment source.
As always checks can also be mailed to:
