In-Person Worship and In-Person Sunday School Canceled
Our Ministry Update is going out a day early this week because of an urgent matter. We learned earlier this week that a person in attendance at worship on Sunday, December 13 tested positive for Covid on Tuesday. Out of an abundance of caution, we are canceling in-person worship and in-person Sunday School this weekend. It will be a virtual service only. We encourage you to join us on Facebook or YouTube on Sunday morning. The live-stream will begin at 9:50 am. The good news is that the person who tested positive is asymptomatic and has no ill effects. We want to do our part to minimize the potential spread of this virus and feel that canceling in-person events this weekend is the wisest choice.

December Verse of the Month
A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain.”(Isaiah 40:3–4, ESV)
Question of the Day
If you are watching online, share a comment to let us know that you are with us. Answer our question of the day! This week’s question is: “What is the most annoying Christmas song?” Share your answer in the Facebook or YouTube comments during our live-stream starting at 9:50 am. Also, make sure to give a “Like” to our live stream and subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

At the end of 2019, I bought a new dry erase calendar for my office that showed me the entire 2020 year in one view. It has been a year that none of us could have imagined. I am glad I got the dry erase version of that calendar because … [Read More]

We will be offering different ways to participate in this service and we will be sharing more information in the weeks to come.

Ways to Financially Support Good Shepherd
Visit gs4nj.org/give to donate. You can donate with a credit card or have the funds debited from your checking account. You can also set up automated giving set up on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or twice-monthly basis.
Another option to give is text to give. Text any dollar amount to 84321. We will reply with a link to a quick, self-guided setup process to tie your mobile phone to our church, your donor account, and a payment source.
As always checks can also be mailed. Visit our contact page for our mailing address.
If you already shop at Amazon, it is easy to support our ministry. Instead of going to amazon.com to shop, just add “smile.” before amazon.com. So the link will be smile.amazon.com. Any time you make a purchase at this link 0.5% of your purchase will go to the charity of your choice. It may not be much, but it adds up over time and as more of us make use of this service. Please keep in mind that you need to use the smile link every time you make a purchase. If you go back to using the regular Amazon link or use the Amazon app, we will not get a donation with those purchases.
Shop with Scrip
