Fall Service Times: Good Shepherd has been worshiping at 9 am and 10:30 am during the summer months. We plan to keep these same worship times as we enter into the new school year which will be a change. Sunday School will run during the 9 am worship. Children will come to worship together with their families at 9 and will be dismissed to Sunday School during the worship.

Fall Choir: The fall choir will be singing on October 29th at both the 9 and 10:30 services. All are welcome to come and join us. We will rehearse on Sundays, October 8 & 15, immediately following the 10:30 service (around 11:45) and on Wednesday, October 11, 18 and 25 at 7:30 pm. We will be doing some special pieces to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.

EVERYONE IS INVITED to help cut out the paper angels for the Angel Tree 2017 at the Missions Team pizza meeting on Thursday, October 19 at 6:00 pm. We may also do some prep for the Harvest Festival, but we have A LOT of Angels to cut out, so come one, come all, bring your friends and family, and scissors if you can, and let me know you’re coming so I can have pizza and drinks on hand for everyone. Thanksgiving & Christmas food needed: Last year we helped 10 families in need with food for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I still have a few turkey’s left, so don’t need to many of those, but we will need gift cards to give to the families. Please stop by the kitchen counter and get some gift cards to share with our church families and families in our community who come to us for help. There will be envelopes on the table in the Narthex marked “Thanksgiving Drive” that you can also use and put in the offering plate, or put in Marie’s mail box outside the church office.
Pianist or musician needed: Twice a month, the Deacons go to the Golden Living Care Center on Route 18 and hold a service for the people there. They are in need of someone to play the piano (or guitar) to help with the service. It is the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sunday of the month at 10:15 am – 11 am. If you are interested, please contact .
Talent Needed: We are looking for singers, actors, and people who can play an instrument to be a part of our “Christmas Traditions” on Friday December 1st. We had such a great time at last year’s show we decided to do it again. If you are interested in participating in the show, please email in the church office at Marie@gs4nj.org. Rehearsal schedule will be posted next week. All proceeds will go towards our new Fire Alarm System, and our contingency fun.
