THANK YOU: Thank youto everyone who came out and helped last week at the Harvest Fest. The Care Center Staff who ran the games and photo op station; Audrey, Maureen, Sue, Linda and Stephanie who ran the kitchen and concession stand; (food was yummy); Dan and Rachel out in the parking lot with the fire pit and smore’s; Doreen running the pumpkin decorating station with Carol, Danica, Mackenzie and Alexis; the hay ride drivers and helpers, Wayne, Paul, Bobby; the crew who got the hayride out of the mud, the behind the scenes people doing anything needed; Martha, Jack and Christine, Mike, Ron, Greg; I know I have probably forgotten some people, but that doesn’t mean you are not appreciated; and all the people who handed out candy at the “Trunk or Treat”. Everyone put in their time and the Harvest Fest was a big success. THANK YOU!
Joining Jesus on His Mission: God has called each of us to join Jesus on His Mission, but many of us struggle in figuring out how to do that. This coming January, Good Shepherd will be launching new groups to help us learn how to do it and encourage us to follow through. If you would be interested in being part of one of these groups or leading a group as a facilitator, let us know via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Voter’s Meeting: Our next Congregation Meeting will be on Sunday, November 18th immediately following the 10:30 service.
Thanksgiving Eve Prayer Service: Please join us on Wednesday, November 21st at 7:30 pm for Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service.
Thanksgiving Drive: Starting October 14th, we will be taking donations for “Thanksgiving Baskets” for families in need. Faith will have gift cards at the counter to purchase, and there are also envelopes in the Narthex to use if you wish to write a check. You can put in offering plate, give to Faith at the counter, or put in the mail box outside the church office. We will also need some turkey’s, so if you get a turkey, please bring to church BEFORE the 5th of November.
Youth Group Fundraiser: Make and take boards. Sunday December 9th immediately following the 10:30 service. You can design your own “board” and make it and then take it home with you. You can make something for your own home, or maybe make something to give as a gift. $10 got s 4 x 12 board and $20 for a 4 x 24 board. (cash and check ONLY)
Confirmation Program: The Confirmation Program can be a little costly for some families. If you would like to help, you can donate towards the confirmation program, please do so by using the envelope in the pew and clearly marking it “Confirmation Program”.
Flowers on the Altar: You can have flowers put on the altar in celebration of an event, anniversary, birthday, baptism, etc., or in memory of a loved one. There is a book in the Narthex to sign up. They are $30 for a bouquet, and you can take them home after the 10:30 service if you wish.

Children’s Center Happenings:
Thanksgiving Pies – Last Chance to order: The Children’s Center will be selling pies for Thanksgiving again this year. All the pies come from Battleview Orchards and are 10” except for the sugar free apple pie which is 8”. Pies are $15.00 each. Order forms are on green paper and can be found on the kitchen counter. All orders must be in and paid for by November 5th. Pies will not be ordered unless paid for, and will need to be picked up on November 20th, time TBD.
