Verse of the Week
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.”Luke 24:45–47 ESV
Haiti Meal Packing
We are less than one week away from our Haiti Meal Packing Event! We praise God that we have raised enough funds to prepare 107,000 meals on Saturday, June 1. But we are still in need of volunteers to make this event happen. We currently have about 300 people signed up between the two shifts and are in need of about 100 more volunteers. If you have not signed up yet, make sure to so today. Invite your friends. Invite your neighbors. Help us make a difference!
Summer Service Times
We have switched to a Summer Worship Schedule. There will be one worship service during the summer at 9:30am with no Sunday School.
Mark your calendars, our congregation budget meeting will be on Sunday, June 2nd following the
Fiesta Fundraiser Lunch and Auction
The Fiesta Fundraiser Lunch and Auction is scheduled for Saturday, June 8th at 5 pm. Email the church office to RSVP if you will be attending. There will be food and an auction. All funds raised go toward the youth attending to the LCMS National Youth Gathering in July.
Please join us on Sunday, June 23rd immediately following the 9:30am service to honor Millie Junco for her many years of service to Good Shepherd Children’s Center. Millie has been part of the school for 14 years. Please join us as we wish her well and thanks for her many years of dedication to the children.
Garden Helpers / Mowers
We are in need of people to help keep the church and school grounds looking beautiful. We need people to mow the lawns, and help with weeding. Training is provided on using the lawn mowers. If you can help, please contact Maureen Puricelli.
Do you have a question for God? Is there something you would like to learn about faith and life in Christ? Do you wonder what God has to say about a certain issue? If so, we would love to hear it. This summer our message series is BIG QUESTIONS. During this series, we will be answering the questions you submit.
