WORSHIP TEAM VISION MEETING TODAY: There is an important and urgent meeting scheduled for ALL WORSHIP TEAM MEMBERS on February 12th IMMEDIATELY following the 10:30 service. If you are part of the band, the choir, bell choir, or AV team we ask that you make every effort possible to be a part of this gathering. We will be sharing the future vision of the worship ministry and how you can be part of it to help enrich the worship experience at Good Shepherd. Fight Night: Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 18 at 6 pm for the Fight Night Broadcast with Dr.’s Les and Leslie Parrott at Good Shepherd. This is designed to be a fun date night for couples and to serve as a relationship game-changer. You’ll laugh, learn, grow closer as a couple. Blankets for Project Linus: The Confirmation Class is collecting material for blankets for Project Linus. The blankets are given to children in New Jersey hospitals. We need material that is 60 inches by 60 inches. Monetary donations are welcomed and appreciated.
Altar Guild Team Members Needed: The Altar guild is looking for a few good women to help with setting and cleaning the altar before and after Sunday worship services. It’s a minimum time commitment. Ash Wednesday Worship: Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent on March 1. Good Shepherd be hosting worship at 7 pm on that evening with imposition of Ashes and celebration of the Lord’s Supper. We hope you can join us for this moving worship experience.
Blake Flattley Coffee House Concert: Join us on Friday, March 10 at 7pm for a Coffee House Concert featuring Blake Flattley. Blake is a worship leader at Our Savior Lutheran Church that has campuses in Queens and Manhattan. You can check out his music at blakeflattley.com. We are also looking for a few volunteers to help with setting up and serving at the Coffee House. If you would be willing to serve, let us know on your connection card.
Haiti Sponsors Meeting: The Haitian Children’s Ministry will be hosting an important meeting for all sponsors on Sunday, February 26th following the 10:30am worship. We want to encourage all sponsors to be there for this important meeting as we have some important information to share.
Gertrude Hawk Chocolate: The Children’s Center will be selling Gertrude Hawk Chocolates again this year. The sales begin on Sunday, February 5th, and end on February 26th. Delivery is scheduled for the week of March 27th. If you are interested, please use the catalog and sign-up sheet on the kitchen counter. Checks should be made payable to GSCC.

ATTENTION MARRIED COUPLES: Time is running out to sign up for your spring Lutheran Marriage Encounter Weekend! Please consider taking a weekend to learn how to make your marriage a more intimate, loving, Christian union. Weekends run from Friday night at 8 PM to Sunday around 3 PM and are for couples of all ages. There is a $100 per couple registration fee, plus toward the end of the weekend, you will be given an opportunity to make a confidential contribution of whatever amount you wish toward continuation of the program. Two nights lodging and 5 meals for each of you are included. The spring dates are:
March 24-26, 2017 at Toftrees Golf Resort & Conference Center — a peaceful resort nestled in 1500 wooded acres in State College, PA.
April 28-30, 2017 in Lancaster, PA, at the all newly-renovated Heritage Hotel Lancaster, home of the unique tree-house-inspired restaurant, “Loxley’s.”
