Church Property Sale Listening Forum: Join us on Sunday, February 17 following the 10:30 am worship. The Admin Board will share an update on the progress of negotiations for the sale of the Church property. This will also be a time for members of our Church community to ask questions and share comments. There are no decisions that need to be made at this time. This is designed to be a time of listening and sharing.
Ash Wednesday: Join us for Ash Wednesday worship on March 6 starting at 7 pm. Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, 40 days leading up to Easter. On this evening, we will participate in Holy Communion and the Imposition of Ashes.
Jam Day: Calling all musicians! Join us on Saturday, March 2 from 11 am-1 pm. We will be coming together to play different music, both Christian and secular. It is an opportunity to sharpen our skills, learn from others, and gain experience playing with others. It doesn’t matter your skill level. It is a great opportunity for new musicians to learn from more experienced musicians and for more experienced musicians to share their knowledge. Everyone is welcome! And we will finish the session with pizza!
New Member Orientation: Join us for a new member orientation on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 8am-11:30am. During the new member orientation, we will look at what we believe, what we value, and what it means to be a member of Good Shepherd. This is for everyone who desires to learn more about the church, is interested in becoming a member, or desires to review the basics of our faith.
Baptism Orientation: Good Shepherd Church of Old Bridge is hosting a baptism orientation on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 11:30 AM. This orientation is for any parents who are interested in having their child baptized at Good Shepherd. The orientation will last approximately one hour.
Confirmation Program: The Confirmation Program can be a little costly for some families. If you would like to help, you can donate towards the confirmation program, please do so by using the envelope in the pew and clearly marking it “Confirmation Program”.
Confirmation Class is looking for donations of material (60 x 60) or monetary donations to make blankets. There will be a collection for material on the stage int eh fellowship hall, and a collection box for money in the Narthex on the table by the Sunday School Sign in. Numana Meal Packing Event: Good Shepherd is once again partnering with Numana and McDivitt Elementary School to help prepare meals for children in Haiti on Saturday, June 1. Mark your calendars now! In 2017 we packaged 83,160 meals. In 2018 we packaged 90,452 meals. This year we hope to do the same or more. The next planning team meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 12th at 7 pm. If you would like to be on the planning team, let us know on your connection card.
Youth Group Fund Raiser: Giving Envelopes – National Youth Gathering in Minnesota, July 2019. Take an envelope and put that amount or any amount higher in it and return by March 3rd. Envelopes range from $1.00 to $50.00. Thank You for your support. If you have any questions, please see Rachel Bergfeldt or any of the youth going on the trip. The youth that are going are: Skylar & Ryan Andersen, Dorien & Tommy Byrnes, and Abby Ressler. The leaders going are Dan & Rachel Bergfeldt, and Pastor Phil. Keep them all in your prayers are they prepare for this great adventure.

You get dollar for dollar on each card, and the church/school make money on EVERY card that is sold. There are a few special cards for purchase right now: Cold Stone, Panera, Bed Bath and Beyond, Regal Theatre, along with the regulars like Walmart, ShopRite, Acme, etc. Be sure to stop at the kitchen counter and see what is available, or order from the 1000’s available on the website.
