Joining Jesus on His Mission: God has called each of us to join Jesus on His Mission, but many of us struggle in figuring out how to do that. This coming January, Good Shepherd will be launching new groups to help us learn how to do it and encourage us to follow through. If you would be interested in being part of one of these groups or leading a group as a facilitator, let us know by emailing the church office:
Christmas Poinsettias: If you would like to order a poinsettia for Christmas, please use the signup sheet on the table in the Narthex. Poinsettias are $5.00 each. The poinsettias can be picked up AFTER the 7 pm service on Christmas Eve.
Confirmation Program: The Confirmation Program can be a little costly for some families. If you would like to help, you can donate towards the confirmation program, please do so by using the envelope in the pew and clearly marking it “Confirmation Program”.
Sunday School: Be sure to pick up a new Sunday School Calendar on the table in the Narthex or download here. There is NO Sunday School next week (12/30). Sunday School will resume on January 6.
Join us in reading the New Testament in 2019: Read one chapter each weekday. There are no readings on Saturday and Sunday. Use these two days to catch up with readings you missed or use the time for reflection on the readings from the previous week. We recommend at least 15 minutes each day for devotion. But you can complete the reading in 5 minutes if that is all the time you can devote. Check the church website for more information, visit gs4nj.org/biblereading.
Costco Help: We are looking for volunteers to help deliver food donated by Costco to go to Elijah’s Promise. If you are interested in helping one Sunday a month, please see Marianne Krawiec for more details.

The luncheon will be held immediately following the 10:30 service on January 27. We will need people to volunteer to help with set up, clean up, and of course for food. We will need sandwiches, lasagna, baked ziti, salads, chicken dishes, meatballs, etc. We also will need desserts cakes, pies, and cookies; drinks (soda, tea, juice coffee, etc.). Please email Marie in the church office and let us know what you can bring and if you can help with set up or clean up.
On Monday and Tuesday, January 28 & 29, we will be hosting a “breakfast” for the parents who drop off their kids. This will begin at 6 am, and we will need volunteers to help with set up/clean up and serving. We will be servicing coffee, tea, hot cocoa, bagels, mini muffins, and small quiches. Please let me know if you can donate towards this, or if you can help.
